[ WHAT THIS TOOL DOES ]

ASCII Generator itself collects no personal data and stores nothing of what you type: the tool runs entirely in your browser, with no application server or database on our end. The site uses Google Analytics (via Google Tag Manager) to measure traffic, but only if you accept it via the banner.

Google Analytics / Google Tag Manager

By default, before you make a choice, all measurement is disabled (Google Consent Mode v2, "denied" state). If you click "Accept", audience-measurement cookies are enabled; if you click "Essential only", they stay disabled. Google may process this data in accordance with its own privacy policy.

Consent preference

The choice you make via the banner ("Accept" / "Essential only") is stored locally in your browser via localStorage (key kx_consent), in addition to being passed to Google Consent Mode. It's used so the banner isn't shown again on every visit.

Third-party services called from your browser

To work, the tool directly queries a few third-party services, only with the text you voluntarily enter:

MyMemory and LibreTranslate — translating the text you type into Japanese.
jsDelivr (CDN) — loading the figlet.js library and ASCII fonts (Slant, 3-D, Doom, Big...).
Google Tag Manager / Analytics — audience measurement, only with your consent.

We don't control these third-party services' privacy policies; please refer to theirs if needed. None of these requests include personal data beyond the text you choose to convert (aside from Google's audience measurement, if accepted).

Your rights

Since no personal data is collected or stored by ASCII Generator itself, there is nothing to access, correct, or delete on our end beyond your consent preference. For any question, you can contact Kiklox.
